About festival effects
Festival effects turn a photo into a short greeting for a holiday: snow and lights for Christmas, a costume for Halloween, a card for Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day. They are made to be sent, so they are short, vertical and easy to forward in a chat.
Seasonal effects are published several weeks before the date so they are ready when people start looking. A family photo, a couple photo or a pet photo all work; the effect page says how many photos it needs.
If you plan to send the same greeting to many people, make it once and download the file. A paid generation has no watermark and can be shared anywhere.
Festival effects: questions
When do holiday effects appear?
We aim to publish them six to eight weeks ahead of the holiday.
Can I use a group or family photo?
Yes. Faces should be clearly visible; very large groups are harder to animate well.
Can I use the video on a business account?
Paid generations can be used commercially, as long as you have the right to use the photos you uploaded.
Do seasonal effects go away after the holiday?
They stay available. Out of season they move down the library and come back up the next year.
