About pet effects

Pet effects are built around animals instead of people: a hug with your dog, a cat that dances, a memorial clip for a pet that is gone. Models trained mostly on people often distort fur, ears and paws, so the effects here use settings we chose for animals.

Choose a photo where your pet fills a good part of the frame and its face is turned toward the camera. Fur colour and markings carry the likeness, so even lighting helps more than anything else. For effects with a person and a pet together, a single photo with both of you usually works better than two separate ones.

Many people make these to remember a pet. If the only photos you have are old or small, upload the sharpest one and crop it to the animal first.

Pet effects: questions

Which animals work?

Dogs and cats give the most reliable results. Rabbits, birds and other pets can work when the animal is clearly visible.

Can I make a video with me and my pet together?

Yes. Effects that take two subjects accept either one photo of you together or one photo of each.

Can I use a photo of a pet that has died?

Yes. Use the clearest photo you have and crop it so the pet is the main subject.

Why did my pet look different in the video?

Dark or blurry photos lose markings, and the model fills the gaps. A brighter, sharper photo usually fixes it. Failed generations are refunded automatically.
