The Choosin Texas emo trend is a dance clip set to an emo-style remix of Choosin' Texas, the country single Ella Langley released in October 2025. In the original video a dancer in an all-black outfit and a black cowboy hat stands on a parking-garage rooftop at night, leans back on the ledge, bounces his knees, flashes hand signs and screams the chorus into the phone like a 2000s emo frontman, under the caption "Emo choosin Texas remix".
That original was posted on TikTok on 29 September 2026 and had about 13.2 million views when we checked on 29 October 2026. Within days people were posting their own versions on the same sound: friends in scrubs in a waiting room, roommates in a pink bedroom, people with their dogs, with captions such as "if Choosin' Texas was emo". About 200 videos used the original sound when we looked. Separately, singers posted acoustic "Choosin' Texas but it's emo" covers.
The AI wave is newer. From late October 2026 AI remakes started swapping the dancer for emo characters in an emo bedroom, and our radar flagged "choosin texas emo ai" on 27 October 2026, so the AI side has only just started spreading. Who produced the remix audio is not confirmed; TikTok lists it as an original sound.
videosi makes the dance from one photo of you: the rooftop at night, the camera moves and every beat of the original, in a full emo look, the original all-black cowboy outfit or your own clothes. The remix audio from the original clip is laid under it, so the MP4 is ready to post. The mouth moves with the music, but it is not word-for-word lip sync.
A high kick and a point at the sky on the rooftop, the moon and city lights behind, then a jump toward the camera.
Hands on the ledge behind, leaning back and bouncing the knees on the beat with a wide grin.
The head drops so the hat brim hides the face, then snaps back up.
A step toward the lens, thumbs and pinkies out, mouth wide open in an emo scream close to the camera.
Clawing hands at chest height, a sway to the side and back toward the ledge.
The dance is a medium-wide shot of the whole body, so a photo from head to at least the knees gives the model your build and clothes.
No sunglasses, masks or a hat pulled low. The head drops and the close scream are where likeness slips first.
Solid dark colours look right at night on the rooftop; busy prints and logos get smeared.
An indoor or shaded photo blends into the night scene better than harsh sun or a strong flash.

The trend uses an emo-style remix of Choosin' Texas, the country single Ella Langley released in October 2025. On TikTok the remix is listed as an original sound, about 200 videos used it by late October 2026, and who produced it is unconfirmed. The videosi 15-second MP4 comes with that remix audio on it.
Not word for word. videosi lays the emo remix audio from the original clip under your 15-second video, and your mouth opens in big grins and screams with the music, but it does not follow the lyrics exactly. It reads as a performance, the same way the original dance does.
Unconfirmed. Choosin' Texas itself is a real Ella Langley single from October 2025. The emo remix in the trend is posted on TikTok as an original sound with no credited producer, so whether it was made with AI music tools is not known. The videosi page is about the 15-second AI video of the dance, not the audio.
