You play the survivor, someone you love plays the zombie (your partner, your mum, your best friend or your dog), and the video ends in a golden-field reunion. Two photos, or one photo of you both, is all it takes.

How it is made
The Zombie AI Trend prompt and model
Zombie AI Trend is made with Seedance 2.0 / 2.5 (you pick the tier) by ByteDance. The prompt behind it has 5 parts, and the timing is what makes or breaks it.
- Model
- Seedance 2.0 / 2.5 (you pick the tier)
- Mode
- Photo + motion reference to video
- Length
- 10 seconds, 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9
- Input
- 2 photos
- Identity lock Photo 1 is the only source for the survivor and photo 2 the only source for the zombie, a person or a pet, kept recognisable in make-up and in the final reunion.
- Motion reference A short clip supplies the cut order, timing and camera distance of the two characters, and nothing else.
- Scene and look A derelict room and a golden field, with a classic zombie described down to skin, eyes and clothing.
- Timeline Six beats over 10 seconds, from the tearful close-up to the lowered gun to the embrace in the grass.
- Rules Two people only, the gun never fires, no blood or gore, no zombie look in the field shot, no text or logos.
Photorealistic cinematic live-action footage, 10 seconds, intercut shots, dark desaturated horror-drama grade. There are exactly two characters and both come from the photos. Image 1 is the only source for the survivor: face…
Why it goes wrong when you do it yourself
- Without a motion reference the shots do not cut back and forth, and the lowered gun and the hug lose their order.
- The model tends to add blood and wounds unless the prompt forbids them, and the clip stops being shareable.
- The face drifts between the zombie close-ups and the human embrace unless the identity lock comes first and is repeated.
- Each try costs model credits and several minutes, and most people need several tries to get the timing.

Post it
The clip already has the trend's sound on it. If you prefer the exact sound from a clip you saw inside TikTok, Reels or Shorts, you can swap it there. Turn on the platform's AI-generated label.
What is the Zombie AI Trend trend?
Updated · videosi is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or with the owners of any trend, song, game or brand named on its pages.
The Zombie AI trend is a short AI video built around a story rather than a filter. A survivor stands in a ruined room, crying, with a gun raised at a pale figure in the doorway. The camera cuts between the tearful face and the zombie's milky eyes. Then the survivor recognises someone they love, lowers the gun and opens both arms, and the video ends with an embrace in a golden field.
The first remakes appeared on TikTok and Instagram Reels in the last week of September 2026, and the format broke out in early October; the radar data behind this page picked it up in TikTok's trending topics on 2026-10-11. Nobody has confirmed who started it. In many posts the first seconds are the AI result and the rest is a screen recording showing how to make it in a template app. People search for it as zombie AI, AI zombie, zombie love story and zombie couple.
Nobody films this. The clips are made by an AI video model from your photos, a short reference clip that supplies the cuts and the camera, and a written prompt. You play the survivor; the zombie can be your partner, a parent, a sibling, a best friend or a pet. Their face goes under grey skin and milky eyes, then back to normal in the golden field, where the two of you reunite.
Why it lands: the gun is a test the survivor fails on purpose. They recognise someone they love under the zombie make-up, choose them over safety, and the cut to sunlight says the love outlasted the infection. That is why couples made it first, and why parents, best friends and pet owners followed.
The motion, the scene and the prompt are built in. You choose the photos (two single photos, or one photo of you both) and the shape of the video.

- 1.5–2.5 s
The figure in the room
Over the survivor's shoulder, a motionless zombie stands in the dim room.
- 2.5–5 s
Aim and stare
The survivor aims at the lens, shaking, then the cut lands on the zombie's face with milky eyes.
- 5–6.5 s
Recognition
Back to the crying face. The gun starts to drop.
- 6.5–8.5 s
Arms open
The gun falls away, both arms open, and the zombie steps in from the edge of frame.
- 8.5–10 s
Golden field
Cut to a field at sunset. The two embrace and spin, and the zombie is human again.
Tips for a better result
Use clear front-facing faces
Both of you get close-ups. A sharp, evenly lit face gives the model something to keep through the tears and the zombie make-up.
Show your shoulders and hair
Hair and build carry the likeness. A photo cropped tight to the face leaves the model to invent them.
Leave hats and sunglasses off
Anything covering the eyes fights the milky-eye look and makes the likeness drift.
In a group photo, stand left and right
Keep both faces clear and side by side, the survivor on the left and the zombie on the right, with nobody else in the frame.
For a pet, show the whole face
A sharp photo of your dog or cat looking at the camera, with its markings visible, keeps it recognisable as a zombie and back to normal in the field.
Good to know before you make a Zombie AI Trend video
- The clip has exactly two characters: you as the survivor and one person or pet as the zombie. Nobody else is added, so a photo with more than two faces can confuse it.
- Hands and the lowered gun are where invented detail shows first, and the gun is a plain prop that is never fired.
- The zombie look is deliberately mild: pale skin, milky eyes and torn clothes, with no blood or gore.
- The video comes with the trend's sound already on it, and likeness is not guaranteed. A failed, timed-out or blocked render returns its credits automatically.
- Every person in the photos must be an adult who agreed to it. A family version works with a parent, sibling or grown-up child, not with children.
