Will the AI make me look like the Joker?

No. videosi's Joker Stairs Dance AI keeps your own face, hair and outfit from your photo and only borrows the stair dance; the prompt rules out face paint, green hair and the red suit, and it never copies an actor's face. All 3 light options give you the same 12-second dance as yourself.

What AI model and prompt make the Joker stairs dance video?

videosi makes Joker Stairs Dance AI with ByteDance's Seedance video model (Seedance 2.0 Mini by default; Fast, Pro and Ultra, which is Seedance 2.5, are one click away), using a six-block prompt and a 12-second motion reference from a fan recreation on real city stairs. The full prompt is not published, but the page shows its structure and an excerpt.

How much does Joker Stairs Dance AI cost, and is it free?

Joker Stairs Dance AI on videosi is not free: there is no free generation and no free trial. A 12-second video (Standard model, 720p) is 10 credits; better models and higher resolutions cost more. Credit packs start at $6.99 for 10 credits and never expire; plans start at $29.90 a month. A failed render returns its credits automatically.

Why doesn't my Joker stairs dance look like me?

Most Joker Stairs Dance AI misses on videosi come from the photo: in the 12-second clip you start small at the top of the stairs, so a small, dark or sideways face gives the model too little to hold. Use a bright, sharp, full-body photo facing the camera. A failed or blocked render refunds its credits automatically.

Is the Joker stairs dance still trending?

As of October 2026 the Joker stairs dance is an evergreen meme rather than a new wave: the film came out in October 2019 and fans still post recreations on the Bronx stairs. AI versions are only just starting; those we found from 2026 had a few hundred to about a thousand views. videosi's Joker Stairs Dance AI turns it into a 12-second clip of you.

How do you do the Joker stairs dance step by step?

The version videosi's Joker Stairs Dance AI uses has 5 beats over 12 seconds: big kicks at the top of the stairs, a swaying strut down with arms swinging, arms open and a half spin, both arms up with a hop down two steps, and a one-legged lean back at the bottom. Keep your chin up and never look at your feet.

Can I put a friend, a parent or my pet in the Joker stairs dance?

A friend or a parent, yes, with their permission: upload a clear full-body photo of them to videosi's Joker Stairs Dance AI. The generator is tuned for people, so a pet photo may not work well. Do not upload photos of celebrities or children, and label the video as AI-made when you post it.

Can I make the Joker stairs dance with ChatGPT, Sora, Veo or Kling?

You can try, but a text prompt with the word Joker usually brings back the costume and makeup, and without a motion reference the dancer tends to walk rather than dance down the steps. videosi's Joker Stairs Dance AI pairs your photo with a 12-second reference of the real stair dance, so the kicks, spin and final pose land in order.

How it is made

The Joker Stairs Dance AI prompt and model

Joker Stairs Dance AI is made with Seedance 2.0 / 2.5 (you pick the tier) by ByteDance. The prompt behind it has 5 parts, and the timing is what makes or breaks it.

Model: Seedance 2.0 / 2.5 (you pick the tier)
Mode: Photo + motion reference to video
Length: 12 seconds, 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9
Input: 1 photo

Identity lock Your photo is the only source for the face, hair, build and outfit, and the prompt rules out face paint, green hair and a red suit.
Motion reference A 12-second fan recreation filmed on a real city staircase supplies the kicks, the sway, the spin and the static low camera, and nothing else.
Scene and light A steep concrete staircase between brick buildings with handrails, in the light you pick: bright day, golden hour or moody film light.
Timeline Five beats over 12 seconds, from the kicks at the top of the steps to the one-legged lean at the bottom.
Rules Always moving down toward the camera, feet on the steps, five fingers, no costume, no cigarette, no text, no cuts.

How it opens

Photorealistic live-action phone footage, 12 seconds, one continuous static shot from the foot of a long, steep outdoor city staircase, looking up the steps.…

Why it goes wrong when you do it yourself

Type the word Joker into a video model and it tends to paint your face white, dye your hair green and put you in a red suit; the prompt has to forbid the costume outright.
Without a motion reference most models make you walk down the stairs, or dance on the spot at the bottom; the kick, sway, spin order needs a real clip to copy.
Stairs are hard for video models: feet hover between steps or slide down them. The rules have to ask for real contact with every step.
The person starts small at the top and ends close to the lens, so the face is redrawn as it grows; without an identity lock it drifts away from your photo.

What is the Joker Stairs Dance AI trend?

Updated October 27, 2026 · videosi is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or with the owners of any trend, song, game or brand named on its pages.

The Joker stairs dance comes from a scene in the film Joker, released in October 2019: the main character dances alone down a long, steep public staircase in the Bronx, New York, kicking, swaying and throwing his arms out to the song Rock and Roll Part 2. The scene became one of the most shared film moments of that year, and the steps, which link Shakespeare Avenue and Anderson Avenue at West 167th Street, turned into a stop for visitors who film their own version.

Fan recreations have been posted on TikTok since at least 18 October 2019, and they keep coming: people in ordinary clothes doing the kicks and the spin on the same stairs, or on any long staircase near them. The newest twist is AI. Since 2026, creators have posted AI clips that put someone else on the stairs, a grey alien in a white tee or an everyday person, using video models such as Seedance and Kling. These AI versions are still small: the ones we found had from a few hundred to about a thousand views, so this is an early AI take on an old meme, not a new viral wave.

This page makes the clip with you as the dancer. From one photo, your face, hair and own outfit are kept, and you dance 12 seconds down a steep city staircase: big kicks at the top, a swaying strut, open arms and a spin, then a one-legged lean at the bottom. The moves come from a fan recreation, not from the film, and there is no costume or makeup.

The video comes with the trend's original sound already on it. videosi is independent and not affiliated with Warner Bros., DC, the film's cast or the song's rights holders.

A swaying descent step after step, hips rolling, arms swinging wide, never looking down.
6-8 s
Open arms and spin
Arms flung wide, a half spin on one step, chin up.
8-10 s
Arms up
Closer to the camera, both arms thrown up, head back, a small hop down two steps.
10-12 s

Near the bottom, one knee high, one arm to the sky and a dramatic lean back to finish.

Tips for a better result

Show your whole body, shoes included
This is a full-body dance on stairs. A photo that cuts off at the waist leaves the model to invent your legs and feet, which is where stairs go wrong.
Wear something that moves
A jacket, a loose shirt or a coat swings nicely on the kicks and the spin. Your own clothes are kept, so pick the outfit before the photo.
Keep your face clear and lit
You start small at the top of the stairs. A sharp, bright, front-facing photo without sunglasses keeps you recognisable all the way down.
Pick a light that suits your photo
Indoor or flash photos sit best in the moody film light; outdoor daylight photos match bright day or golden hour.
