Why doesn't my Ghostface AI video look like me?

The usual causes in an 8-second Ghostface AI result are a dark or blurry photo, a face turned away, sunglasses or a heavy filter. For videosi, use a clear front-facing photo with your face and shoulders in even light. The drag off the bed is fast and the face is smallest there, so likeness is weakest in that second. A failed or blocked render returns its credits.

Can I put my friend, partner or boyfriend in the Ghostface AI trend?

Yes, if they are an adult who agreed to it: upload their photo and they are the one on the phone. videosi does not accept photos of celebrities, public figures or minors, and users must be 18 or older. This page uses one photo; the masked figure is always a faceless stranger in a robe, never a real person, so you cannot put someone's face behind the mask.

What does Ghostface mean in this trend?

Ghostface is the masked killer from the Scream horror films, known for phoning victims before attacking. The Ghostface AI trend borrows that phone-call setup: you chat on a 90s landline in a pink bedroom while the masked figure waits behind you. On videosi the figure is a generic robe-and-white-mask stranger and the 8-second clip shows no weapon and no blood.

What song or sound is used in the Ghostface AI trend?

There is no single confirmed sound for the Ghostface AI trend: posts in October 2026 use a mix of horror stings, phone rings, screams and trending audio. The 8-second videosi file comes with a sound already on it, and you can swap in the sound you want on TikTok, Instagram or CapCut under the platform's licence. The example clips on this page keep their original sound.

Is the Ghostface AI trend still trending?

As of late October 2026 the Ghostface AI trend is spreading again ahead of Halloween on 31 October 2026, a year after its first wave in late September 2025. Our radar picked it up on 20 October 2026. It is a seasonal trend, so expect it to fade in November and return next October. videosi renders it in a few minutes.

Can I make the Ghostface AI trend with Gemini, ChatGPT, Sora or Kling?

Yes: the 2025 wave used Gemini for a still and Kling to animate it, which takes two tools, a long prompt and several tries to get the ankle grab and the drag right. videosi does it in one step from one photo, with a motion reference for the lunge and drag, and returns an 8-second clip. Label AI videos as AI when you post them.

Will my Ghostface AI video be taken down on TikTok?

An 8-second Ghostface AI clip from videosi has no blood, no weapon and no studio footage, so it is in the same style as thousands of posts under the trend. Platforms ask you to label AI-generated videos, so turn on the AI label when posting, and if you swap the sound, pick music from the platform's own library.

How it is made

The Ghostface AI Trend prompt and model

Ghostface AI Trend is made with Seedance 2.0 / 2.5 (you pick the tier) by ByteDance. The prompt behind it has 5 parts, and the timing is what makes or breaks it.

Model: Seedance 2.0 / 2.5 (you pick the tier)
Mode: Photo + motion reference to video
Length: 8 seconds, 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9
Input: 1 photo

Identity lock Your photo is the only source for the face, hair, build and outfit, and the masked figure is never allowed to take your face.
Motion reference A 5-second clip supplies the lunge, the ankle grab, the drag off the bed and the camera push to the doorway, and nothing else.
Scene A 90s bedroom with pink satin sheets, popcorn, a corded phone and an open dark doorway, plus a generic figure in a black robe and white screaming mask.
Timeline Five beats over 8 seconds, from the relaxed phone call to the rush, the grab, the drag and the empty room.
Rules One person and one masked figure, five fingers, no blood, no weapon, no text, no cuts, scary but not violent.

How it opens

Photorealistic live-action horror short, 8 seconds, one continuous take, warm 1990s film look with soft grain. Image 1 is the only source for the person…

Why it goes wrong when you do it yourself

Ask for this by name and many models refuse or swap in a random mask; describing the costume, not the film character, is what gets it through.
Without a motion reference the figure just stands there or hugs you; the ankle grab and the drag backwards off the bed rarely happen on their own.
Models often put your face on the masked figure or a second copy of you in the doorway unless the identity lock forbids it.
The 2025 recipe needs two tools, an image model for the still and a video model for the motion, and several paid tries to get the timing.

What is the Ghostface AI Trend trend?

Updated October 27, 2026 · videosi is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or with the owners of any trend, song, game or brand named on its pages.

The Ghostface AI trend is a short horror-comedy clip that looks like a lost scene from a 90s slasher film. You lie on your stomach on glossy pink satin sheets, popcorn and magazines beside you, laughing into a beige corded phone. In the dark doorway behind you stands a figure in a black hooded robe and a long white screaming mask. Then it rushes in, grabs your ankles and drags you off the bed, and the camera is left looking at an empty room.

The format first went viral in late September 2025, when people made a still of themselves in the pink bedroom with Google Gemini and animated it with an AI video app; the earliest tutorials we found are dated 28 and 29 September 2025. In October 2026 it is spreading again ahead of Halloween, with new clips, role-reversal versions where you drag the masked figure out instead, and plenty of app ads using the name. Our trend radar flagged it on 20 October 2026.

Ghostface is the name of the masked killer in the Scream films. The video on this page uses a generic masked stranger in a robe, not footage from the films, and it shows no weapon and no blood.

Everything is built in: the bedroom, the masked figure, the timing and the prompt. You choose the photo and the format, and the clip comes with a sound already on it.

Ghostface AI Trend: shot by shot

0–3 s
The phone call
You lie on your stomach on pink satin sheets, laughing into a beige corded phone. A masked figure in a black robe stands still in the dark doorway behind you.
3–4 s
The rush
The figure comes out of the doorway to the foot of the bed. You are still laughing and never look round.
4–5 s
The grab
Gloved hands close round your ankles. You scream, your face drops toward the popcorn and the receiver flies.
5–6.5 s
The drag
You are pulled backwards across the satin and off the end of the bed. Popcorn spills, magazines slide to the floor.
6.5–8 s
The empty room
The camera drifts toward the empty doorway: a dark hallway, one red light, a magazine on the floor and the door swinging half shut.

Tips for a better result

Face the camera
The clip opens on your face at the lens. A front-facing photo keeps your likeness through the laugh and the scream.
Shoulders and arms in frame
You hold a phone and get dragged by the ankles. A photo cropped tight to the face leaves the model to invent your body.
Cosy 90s clothes work best
A cami, a cropped top or a sweater fits the pink-bedroom look; what you wear in the photo is what you wear in the video.
No mask, no sunglasses
Keep your own face clear. The only mask in the clip belongs to the figure in the doorway.

Good to know before you make a Ghostface AI Trend video

The drag off the bed is fast and your face is smallest there, so that second is where likeness slips most.
The masked figure is a generic robe and white mask, not the licensed costume from the Scream films, so small details of the mask can differ from shot to shot.
There is one setting, the 90s pink bedroom; the role-reversal version, where you drag the masked figure out, is not offered yet.
The video comes with a sound already on it, and likeness is not guaranteed. A failed, timed-out or blocked render returns its credits automatically.
